It just seems everyone is so quick anymore to start shouting "The sky is falling", with so little evidence actually on hand. This whole thread based on one yewboob video, with no actual hard evidence of what caused the problem: oil, negligence, oil pump partial failure, oil filter failure. But now, all of a sudden the engine gets a reputation for failures.
After spending 5 years in training, serving a 6 month apprenticeship and then WORKING at a Ford dealer for several years, often DIRECTLY with the Ford Factory Warranty Claims Representatives, (granted, it was years ago) I can offer a little direct experience here. (something YOU don't have) I've seen several "yewboob" (your words, not mine) videos showing major camshaft/lifter damage on the 7.3. The technicians said that when the Ford Factory Warranty Claims Service People were notified, there was a new palletized 7.3 liter long block ($$$$$$$$) DELIVERED (from Ford Factory Warranty Claims) to their shop, . . . THE NEXT DAY. (not the only one) Think about that!
Let's see how this plays out. The internet "neener neener" group isn't helpful at all.

I guess part of my problem is that all these yewboob video creators will do almost anything to drive up their subscriptions, and viewing numbers. Hearst would be thrilled. I, for one, will wait until there's real facts to back up the videos. And since I'm a Ram owner, it doesn't affect me anyway. :)
