We tow with a diesel E350, and it does a great job with our Keystone Outback 277RL which is 35' long and weighs close to 9000lbs. The Airstreams are great looking trailers, and about the highest quality I have seen. But our Outback costs less than half of a big Airstream, and has more room and storage. We do not full time, but spend all winter on the road. My wife is an accountant/bookkeeper, and she has set up the vanity in the big bedroom as a desk. We have free standing table and chairs in lieu of a dinette, so I set up my consulting work from there. Lots of room for the dogs, too. If it starts to wear out, we can trade it in almost three times before we get up to the cost of an Airstream. All the running gear and appliances are pretty much the same as the airstream ...
