the one thing I haven't been able to find in any other trailer is the open view the windows of an airstream provide.
To be honest, the exclusivity and "you're either one of us or you're not" mentality is a turnoff, but I realize a lot of airstream owners aren't like that.
Yes, they're super expensive compared to everything else. We can live without a slide. If I could find another company that builds great, reliable little units with fantastic open windows in the bedroom and the dining room, I'd love it.
We don't know a ton about other models, just based on what we've seen on the lots at our local dealers, and the only model that has excited us so far is the airstream.
I'd get a bigfoot in a heartbeat if it had the big, wrap-around windows that an airstream had. I'm hoping someone out there knows of another brand that has a similar feel that invites the outdoors to be inside the trailer, rather than the opposite.
