but you're right; we still don't have a great solution for working in the airstream.
You can have your cake and eat it too. Here is your Airstream that you can work in and still have all the other Airstram attributes. Find a good pre-owned Airstream PanAmerica. It has plenty of interior storage room. More than enough for you to set up a desk or two, still have a dinette, carry two Harleys, six mountain bikes, and lots of stuff inside and still have the windows, aluminum roof that never rots like the rubber ones do, still has the aluminum sides instead of filon and possible delamination, and still has all the Airstream iconic values and social ambiance associated with it. Yea, it is a triple axle but that just means it tows better. And since 65-70 percent of all Airstreams made since the 1930's are still on the road, you can expect it to last longer than the payments, not something all other box trailer manufacturers readily enjoy.
