The previous posters are way off. I've personally talked with a dozen full time Airstream families that literally live on BLM land. I've seen hundreds of pictures of folks with Airstreams out in the middle of nowhere.
Airstreamers more than any other seek out this solitude and immerse themselves in nature. You guys are assuming that the cost of an Airstream prevents folks from going to remote areas I assume. Your way off base in that assumption.
Like I said earlier, you want to hang out in an RV park with swimming pool and WiFi service, get a 5th wheel or huge camper with slide outs. If you want to see the country, get an Airstream, or a real TRAVEL trailer.
Nothing wrong with either. Heck, I like swimming pools. But we are buying a camper to replace a tent, not a house.
I could spend the rest of the day posting images of Airstreams in remote locales.
