^^^ if I were buying a specific model you reference that was 15+ years old, and much older in other cases, that would matter. I'm buying a new Airstream and the OP didn't say anything about buying a vintage camper. I'm also curious if you really believe the only trailer frames that rust were those used on Airstream campers. That is idiotic, but consistent if I'm forced to look through your view. Don't go back in time decades to support whatever motivates your Airstream bash.

So the issue is related to the length of the trailer? Not passing obstacles on relatively flat dirt or gravel roads, but worse terrain? I've mostly see folks accessing BLM land where there are dirt roads and such. I have not envisioned anyone going mud slinging with a camper in tow. Curious what real world scenario you are referring to where trailer clearance can be a limiting factor in travel. Maybe all the Airstreams I've seen in remote beautiful places were helicoptered in for a photo op.
