LOL, no cover but I already got plenty of heat here in Phoenix. It did have the lugs for the heater wires though.

The coolest part is when you know you are "in the draft" area behind a semi.
Of course you can also see why your EGTs are high and your mileage sucks due to a 25 mph headwind.

What about pitot heat?

A fairly good altimeter is $$$ but for free,if you have a smart phone

Checking it against my GPS on my Garmin here at home and several locations, it is spot on.

+3 on the smartphone. Download a specific GPS app and it'll give you X, Y and Z (altitude).

Smart phones as well. Usually have an app that has the altimeter function in it. Both my older Garmin GPS have the altimeter.
