:) Hi, at one time in my life, I was a Mac Tools Distributer. I bought a brand new 1986 P-30 Chevy chassis with an all aluminum Grumman Olsen body. It was made of a hardened aluminum. A corner of the left rear was damaged by a girl who totally destroyed her steel bodied car when she hit my parked truck. Yes this is the same as most of the bread trucks you see on the road and the aluminum bodies will out last the rest of the vehicle.
Oh, and that Lincoln in my picture has an aluminum hood on it, made about 15 years ago.
