You've already swapped gears from 3.73 to 4.30, which was a very good move.
At this point, maybe look into adding an auxiliary underdrive gear box behind the transfer case on the rear driveshaft, to use in 2wd on highway only.
An aux gear box with a 1:1 direct and 1.2:1 underdrive would allow use of your 4.30 gears most of the time, and use of 4.30 x 1.2= 5.16 gears when towing heavy.
A divorce-mount gear box will make it easy to install, no adaptor needed for the transfer case. A short pony driveshaft is needed between the t-case and the gear box, then shorten the rear main shaft to fit. Fabricate a new cross member to mount the gearbox to.
