I doubt it. My trailer plus cargo carried is about 10,500 lb. which is within 1,000 lb. of it's maximum trailer rating and the truck handles it easily. Towing 7% grades in 4th gear with no strain at all. The only thing I WISH you had done with your truck is to order the HD Payload option because like MOST half ton trucks, yours will run out of payload before it struggles with the maximum trailer weight. My extended cab model has a 2,450 lb. payload and when fully loaded for travel I use nearly all of it. Keep in mind that exceeding the maximum trailer weight ratwing is basically a warranty issue but exceeding the GVWR or GAWR ratings are both safety issues.
I have traveled extensively and tried both WITH the auto anti sway system engaged and with it turned off. Never had any occasion to NEED it so I have no idea if it's worth using or not but it certainly doesn't harm anything. I don't think I'd recommend ANYONE depend on it INSTEAD of a good hitch with integrated anti sway.
Good luck / Skip
