The Eco will be great for your needs. I purchased mine after researching both options. For what we do camping, Five to Six trips per year, all within a days drive from home., I needed TV for (at most) 12 days a year.
My TT is in my Sig......my payload ( listed on the door) is 1932 lbs.
My towing experience has been uneventful.....and relaxing.
Their are those on this site would not pull a John boat without a One tone diesel........because that's what they have.
