It IS a fine engine. Not sure if you were being funny or condescending.
The EcoBoost has more HP, TQ, and a Much better transmission than my old V10 1999 F350. People pull 13k fivers with the low power numbers that my old V10 had.
Power and reliability with the EcoBoost is NOT a problem.
The OP will be close on his payload- GVWR- etc.... But can make it work as evidenced by the thousands doing it with similar trucks. I pulled a 31ft TT with an old 97 F150 and it did just fine too.
