I pulled our 24 ft 6000 lb trailer with a 2010 F150. (Super Crew, short bed, 3:55 gears) It was the 5.4, not the EB. I know the EB has better performance number so in terms of power, I would assume you are fine. The truck also stopped just fine. My two concerns were payload and the trans.
After loaded up with everything, I was within 200 lbs of my max paylaod (Checked it on the scales) Not much room for error, but when I weighed it, I packed heavier than we typically do when we camp just to be sure. So, we often had to think about what we "needed" and what could stay at home. As far as the trans goes, you have the upgraded version that I believe they run in all 1/2 ton, 3/4 ton and 1 ton trucks, so you are fine there. (I think they started putting the select shift in the F150's in 2011)
With all that said, you will notice a difference in how the trailer impacts the truck while towing, especially on windy days. And, you will have to monitor your payload a lot more carefully. But, by paying attention, you should be able to stay legal and safe; IMHO of course ...
