OP. Take the rig to the scales, as you would camp, and report the results back. Also include your cargo capacity, rear axle GAWR, etc as provided on the door sticker. I think you may be close to max payload capacity (typical at 6000-6500 lb TT) with a 1/2 ton. This will ultimately be determined based on what is in the truck (passengers, cargo etc) and in the trailer and how it is distributed. Without the numbers you have received various opinions of which the results are showing a near 50/50 split.
