I have one of those too. After 10 miles it is end of the scale, as I was doing better. :R
I80 WB approaching Salt Lake City has 10 miles grade where you have to press brakes to hold it below 80 mph.

I think all digital engines turn the fuel off while coasting.
Only on some instant meters it will show "---" some will show 99.9mpg and I had Audi that would go up to 250 mpg.
