Okay, here's a photo of the magic fuel pump in Marathon Florida. Hopefully you can read the sticker on it which says "CONTAINS UP TO 10% ETHANOL".
I did ask the attendant if their diesel has ethanol in it and he said, without hesitation;"Yes it does"... Of course, that doesn't make it true but it is what he said to me.

For those who have commented about head/tail winds; I agree that wind can have a significant effect on fuel economy... But that is not what is happening here. I am 100% certain that the change I am experiencing happens between individual tanks of fuel... Again, I don't know exactly why but I want to!
