I drove on 7 years old diesel that might have some stabilizer and I drove on 4 years old diesel with no stabilizer.
I think there was a difference after refilling in performance, but so subtle that it might be placebo effect.
Regardless, not likely any station will have 4 years old diesel in the tanks.
