If the fridge was mounted on gimbals, that would cure the level issue... (Wishful thinking there).
I use mine (TC) for hunting and fishing as well. As of yet, I haven't had an issue with getting level (within a half bubble). What I usually do is release the tie downs and use my camper jacks to get it level but I leave the truck under the camper. So far, I've had enough suspension travel to get it where I need it. My 'sit in' sag is about 2" so I have room to 'play with' the leveling part without resorting to blocking the wheels up. I usually carry 4 PT wood planks in the side box anyway but I've never put them under the wheels, just under the jack pads.
I prefer the 'feel' of a solid camper versus the 'wiggle' of the camper just on the truck without the jacks down. Just me I guess.
I'll most likely run into a 'not level enough' situation at some point but I will, at that point, reposition the truck to get within the 'level enough' parameters. Not like I camp in an area where I have limited parking options.
Checked it this morning, still running along on the bottle yet. Hoping for at least a month. Interior temp was at 33 this AM. Not monitoring the freezer but I'm sure if the fridge is at 33, the freezer is much colder. Maintaining it's +- 4 degrees like it has from the outset.
Considering my last TC (Lance) was a decade old and the Norcold was working fine when I sold it, while I would convert to a Danfoss, don't see this one pooping out anytime soon. besides. at 66, who knows how much longer I will be camping. At some age point the Super 8 has a certain appeal.
