Truck campers could have tons of roof space if the manufacturers didn't put all of those leaky gadgets up there...

I have never seen a truck camper roof that looks like that. Mine has an A/C unit, an old style TV antenna, a big skylight, a doomed skylight over the shower, two ventilation hatches and a plumbing vent pipe. In addition the front of the roof slopes and would not work well for a solar panel.
