It may MEET Chrysler specifications. That is a distinct difference.
I won't touch an oil unless it's API certified. I did use another brand snake oil until I found out their API certification was falsified. I had 7,000 miles on the snake oil over one year and had blackstone test it. next year, 7,500 miles over the same frame with Mobile 1. Mobile 1 product actually tested slightly better. Snake oil salesman claimed that my engine was benefiting from his product changing the molecular structure. Yes, he actually made that claim.
