Amsoil OE Synthetic

Your Pentastar V6 has an electronic proportioning oil pump in it. You should use only the oil specified for your engine. The engine wasn't tested with a 100% PAO oil.

You don't have any idea of what caused the turbo failures yet you are compelled to put your statement in writing and slam an American Company that employs Americans. What would your statement have been if you knew that engine was using a petroleum oil? I suppose every turbo charged engine that uses Amsoil has had or will have turbo failures. BS

Here's a thought, you like XXX motor oil use it. If not, don't. We're still in the United States where we have the freedom to choose...........well for now anyway.

I have heard a lot of good things about Amsoil low viscosity transmission fluid. Since my Silverado is coming up when the transmission fluid needs to be changed, I called a "mega" Amsoil dealer who has a regular type store. They quoted me $13.00/quart and I would require about 13 quarts. Obviously way too expensive when Valvoline Dex 6 which also has a good reputation can be purchased for less than half that.

So no Amsoil for me at those prices.

I did Amsoil in my truck from day one for the first couple of years. I started to question is it worth it when it was time to renew my membership with Amsoil. I started comparing a ton of UOAs over on BITOG. Turns out Walmart's Supertech Synthetic is a pretty dang good oil. Some were ranking it up there with the overpriced Royal Purple. I switched over and immediately noticed the Hemi tick was finally gone. It was very clear with the Amsoil. A little over 80k later, everything is still humming along just fine on Supertech. I got the bike off of Amsoil and moved that over to T6.

That's all it is, marketing HYPE to charge 2x the normal price for an UNtested product.
