Since the fan makes that much noise...think the fan clutch is working
Since computer controlled...a myriad of potential cause and effects
to result in the computer 'thinking' it needs to turn on the fan
2007, so part of the transition to 'highly integrated' sub-systems
into one master computer (that is questionable in my mind whether
auto OEMs have gotten the master-slave correct yet)
"Fan turn on" is based on the computer thinking it needs to cool one
or more of the components and/or sub-systems
I'd check the various heat sensors throughout
Oblique might be one of the PSI sensors that is tied in with the thermal rejection management system(s)
If me, I'd invest in a very good system to monitor EVERYTHING and log it to memory
Find the root cause first...else potential of fixing the wrong things
to cause a cascading effect that will loose any stored diagnostics
data...

I'd check the various heat sensors throughout
- Engine computer and it's heat sensors
- Engine oil
- Engine coolant
- Exhaust Gas
- CAT
- Tranny computer and it's heat sensors
- AC system
- ETC
