Ben.. His rig is an 07 5.4... no EcoBoost on this bad boy.
My 5.4 F150 was a 97 model... it 'never' did as this truck is doing... not so loud that it overcomes everything else. I do agree..something is out of kilter.
I rented an 2012 or 2013 5.4 E350 passenger and it did roar from the fan as described... Very loud.. this makes me think that there could have been a reflash of the ECM.

I don't know if they flashed my computer on the last visit or not. I'm starting to get the sinking feeling it will end up there again, and soon. UGh!
