My TT is about 30' and as I said, I'm very happy with the Andersen. Since you have a diesel too, I'm guessing you'd probably have similar results. The only thing that could change that would be if your truck is a short bed, regular cab. Obviously the shorter the wheel base of the truck, the more weight you have removed from the steer axle for any given tongue weight. The heavy diesel engine helps a lot, but what also makes a big difference is how long the "arm" is that the engine is sitting at the other end of.
As has been stated here several times, the Andersen seems to work best with lighter TT's because of the lower tongue weights. But, I think you also have to consider the truck. So, small light TT with short half ton gas truck = good combo. Large, heavier TT with long wheel base diesel truck = good combo. Large, heavier TT with short wheel base truck or gas truck = may not work well because the Andersen can't restore enough weight to the steer axle. At least that's my take on it...
