I'm looking for the best option and something that will last up here. I was taking my batteries out everytime and putting them on a trickle charger so as not to tax the charger in the camper. So I don't mind taking them out it only takes 5 min. I don't want to spend much more than $400 either though.
I use 2-GC batteries & am very happy with them. Change the connections & get the 6 volts.
While in storage & if power is available & if your converter is a 3-4 stage charger., I would leave the batteries in & use rhe coverter for charging.
