After vacationing with our kids who rented a 26' Class C, F450 chassis, V-10, I'm a believer in that mode of travel, especially if you are getting more creaky with age or have a lot of grandkids to haul around. The ONLY downside is loosing the dual purpose nature of a TC and not being able to use the truck separately. But, there comes a time.....

Congrats Butch.. Will miss ya on the TC forum but understand completely. My wife and I are going to do similar route. Either a small class A or Fifth wheel after the holidays most likely. We need more room too with grand kids and a dog. Also my neck with 2 surgeries under my belt is not cooperating. Getting tougher at 55. Best of luck to you both.
