Antenna install

I have a 1997 Lance Squire Lite 165 S It does not have an antenna for TV. I am thinking about getting the Winegard Sensor IV. My problem is knowing exactly where to lay out the mounting points for the antenna. I know "about" where the antenna is suppose to go, but I am thinking this should be exact so I hit the backing and get a solid attachment. I have emailed Lance and have been waiting but so far no answer, not sure they even tell you about templates for antenna or other accessories. So if any one knows the exact measurements for attaching an antenna I would appreciate some direction. Thanks

    Did that, no template nor any measurements. Downloaded the owners manual last night, I did find out some other interesting things but no measurements on antenna

    Are you certain there is a backing? The entire roof is plywood.

    I thought the area near the coax stub would have some extra support for an antenna

    After more research I find that the Squire Lite is only "decked" on the rear half of the camper, as in decked under the luggage rack at the rear of the camper. So I think I am back to locating the "backing" for the antenna

    The owners' manual provided in the link says the antenna wire is located under a plate on the cabover driver's side with reinforcement. Pg. 28. Doesn't your TC have the plate?

    Mine has the coax cable sticking out of the roof on the driver side, it has a round plate with screws and caulking, I am assuming that the antenna fits right over the coax cable and hopefully there is backing under the coax cable plate, is there any way to now how big or what measurement is the backing?
    There is a plate in the cabinet under where the coax cable comes through the roof, the plate conceals the 12 volt power and the coax cable in the kitchen cabinet.

    Thanks for pointing out the information on page 28 i missed it, it does seem likely that there is backing under the coax cable.

    You know what they say about assumptions but you could assume the backing provided is adequate to match antennas available in '97. What antenna have you chosen? Center the base over the hole and drill pilot holes using the widest spaced holes of the base of your antenna. It's going to take some guesswork but at least you know you're in the right area of your camper roof.

    I am thinking about the winegard sensor IV. Have to figure out how to mount the tv also, the right swing mount for the tv needs to be light enough but able to swing from bedroom to dining area.
