Shoulda taken the high road! Been there with 2wd.

I have been stuck so many times in snow/sand and mud it ain't funny no more..lol..Got stuck in the middle of the middle fork of the boise river once in a jeep CJ-5..Young and dumb feeling invincible I guess..Later on I have gotten stuck not quite as much but work took me into some rough places and I did get stuck, but we always had skidders and dozers to get us out..Now I avoid those places as much as possible but I do get stuck from time to time in my Yamaha Rhino...lol..Haven't been stuck this year yet....laughing..??

At least Matt did not take his Ford Superduty to do recovery. That might be considered an insult?I love Matt's videos. He is really cool guy, who doesn't hesitate to show video of using grinder without glasses. 70% of his recoveries are about people who drove to the places they never should driven to. Other 30% are about rental vehicles who are beaten up senseless.I did not see Good Sam sticker on the camper. Have you?Now it would be interesting to find the Chevy driver here. Matt's keeps biting his tongue about the charges, so I assume he is not cheap. The Chevy recovery took just seconds, but I recall like 5 hr round trip driving?

I just have to wonder why in the world would you take the mud bog vs the dry tracks on either side? Especially if you don't have a winch.

several years ago in Anza Borrego had to call my brother in law for rescue: Lesson learned: as soon as you hit the dirt put it in 4wd!! stuck in 2wd and could not get it to engage in 4wd

Anza Borrego: backed into our campsite for the night and the seemingly hard pack was only crust and we sunk in good. I guess the lesson learned was to spot what is hard pack

Here had to call ranger steve came the next morning to pull me out
