Hard to find, they have a exchange program if you have the life time warranty, you may want to give them a call. Did you do the math to compute the correct drop? I just noticed you have a Hensely so you more than like already know all this, good luck.Jim

I carry spare everything for the Hensley, except a spare stinger....What you can do after you install the hitch, level the trailer and measure from the ground to the bottom of the stinger opening on the Hensley. Add 1/2" to this measurement (the opening is 3" square, the stinger is 2"). Then measure from the ground to the bottom of the receiver on the truck. Subtract 1/2" from this measurement to allow for some squatting when hitched up. That should get you pretty close as to whether you want a 2" or a 4".

I have an 8" and need an 2" or 4"...I've been waiting forever for ProPride to make more adjustable brackets. About ready to give up on them.

Thanks, guys. The used hitch that I got came with an 8", and my dad will definitely need a 4" or 2". Haven't physically installed the hitch yet, but I am positive that will be the case. No lifetime warranty for me, although I can pay $500 for a lifetime warranty since I got the hitch second hand.ProPride is not looking good for the adjustable, as noted above. I talked to them last week and they are behind on regular production and the guy couldn't even give me a time frame they would produce the adjustable stinger. Said they were trying to fulfill existing orders at the moment.

Still holding out, specifically for a 2" drop stinger. Anyone have one? Propride hasn't made any more yet...

As the original poster, I'm bumping this one back to the top. A friend picked another used Hensley up, and He needs a 2" drop. Anyone have a 2" drop sitting in their garage?

I just bought a stinger from Hensley. I figured I can buy 2.5 stingers for the price of their 2nd hand warrantee. I will just buy new stingers every time my truck changes and never have to pay for shipping back.

Hensley site lists $202 plus whatever the cost is in shipping. Gone up from the $150 I saw a while back.

Yeah, you'll want a CERTIFIED welder with the right HD equipment, not a backyard guy that does welding on the side. It's not heat treated or anything special, just heavy steel welded together.

boosTT - why not go ahead and get the correct drop stinger? No way I would sell just because you are waiting on the adjustable stinger.

Burbman - hadn't thought about that. Kind of makes me nervous to modify it, but it would really be no different than when it was originally welded together. Would probably be half the cost of a new one. Hmm, guess I need to drop over to my local machine shop and see what they say.

Yeah. Its been the same song and dance for months already. I wouldn't count on them being ready by fall. Production will get pushed out again.

Im so frustrated with this drop bar thing that I am just selling my Hensley setup all together. I have had it for months and am still using my old WD setup due to this drop bracket.

A good welder can cut a piece out of that 8" drop and weld it back together as a 4" drop without too much trouble. Even if you find one on CL, shipping is a killer because the dang thing is so heavy. Could probably have it modded locally for less than it would cost to buy one and get it shipped.
