Any hints on releasing the TT tongue from the ball???

been towing a TT for about a year now maybe 7 times and every time when i go to park it and release the TT tongue from the ball it just never releases without cranking the trailer up with the electric...

I've been pulling trailers a long time. Once I know I'm high enough for the hitch to release from the ball I just step on the bumper.

That must be the old farm hand coming through :P.
