Any hints on releasing the TT tongue from the ball???

been towing a TT for about a year now maybe 7 times and every time when i go to park it and release the TT tongue from the ball it just never releases without cranking the trailer up with the electric...

I did the park thing with no brake. I've lubed the **** out of mine. But the only thing I have found that works reliably for me is a few taps from a rubber mallet. Do not use a metal hammer, as that could damage things.
