Hey guys,I have concluded that I am going to carry my Honda 3000 on a front hitch carrier so I have been searching back through the forum and other internet searches for ideas. Some of the older threads don't still have pictures that were originally posted. Can anyone offer suggestions or share pictures of what people have created to accomplish this?I would like to consider some type of partially enclosed box/cage to help protect from weather and use during rain yet still offer ample cooling for the generator. Kind of thinking the front and top being closed but maybe the two side being relatively open for air flow and exhaust. The generator is already quiet but I would like to make it even quieter so I don't irritate those around me if I need to turn it on. Not looking for anything fancy or expensive...not out to impress anyone with my 15 year old truck and camper.Any ideas and comments would be appreciatedThanks,Phil

With your Ram do NOT buy a Curt front receiver. Your Ram front fascia is curved and the Curt is flat so you will have to cut a slot to clear the hitch ends. If they knew how to curve metal it would fit behind the bumper and trim panels!!!

I got the Draw-Tite from eTrailer. A couple of hours to install, but because it bolts onto the mounting holes for the front tow-eyes, it actually pushes the tow-eyes out a bit further than a factory mount, so it makes them more accessible and easier to use, too.

will it block the head/running lights and/or license plate if used?

Heck, I'm building my own front receiver, Nothing will fit my 1997 F350 4x4 with modified front suspension. It will be Class 5 + when it's done..lol

Hello All, New this forum. Hopefully I'm doing this right. The wife and I have decided this will be the year that we get a travel trailer. We have seen too many people having a good time and it's time for us to get out and see our country. I joined this forum so we can start getting familiar with all the ins and outs. I have run into this post regarding the Bodiak front hitch, I have been researching this for a month or two now. I realize they are no longer in business and have decided to build my own. I'm definitely looking for something that can be removed, I'm hoping some of you who have the Bodiak could help me out with some pictures of the Bodiak showing how they attach to the front tow rings.

The hitch is square and I had to cut 4" by 14" slots with my die grinder in the plastic on each end besides the square hole for the hitch. I spent about 3 hours installing and measuring and cutting and reinstalling the plastic valance. Bolting the hitch to the frame was about ten minutes. If they had curved the hitch it would have fit behind the valance and not stuck out. I guess they (Curt) think one hitch can fit all!!!

Bodiak hitch worked good on my 2006 dodge ram and also fits on my 2015 3500 Ram DRW. Custom fit on the Tow hooks.
