  • Thanks for all the comments I appreciate them! From what my search has told me is that this is a Timberland brand RV that was manuf. by Adventure Manufacturing that was in business from 2000 to 2008. Then found some new investors and reopened under the Riverside Travel Trailer name. I cant find anything bad about them but I cant find anything good either. Seems to have a good floor plan for us I will have to see what it looks like!!
  • Looks to be in good condition. Just because it has aluminum siding doesn't mean it is low quality. I agree with looking it over really good, but will creek and pop and it doesn't mean there is water damage. Actually just the opposite, if it is wet it won't make any noise it will feel spongy! Give it a good look over and see if it is something you really want/like!

    Good luck!
  • I do not want a camper that long with only one door. I like the two models, with one door from the bedroom. Just paranoid I suppose.
  • If you are not sure how to look for some of the items listed above, pay a dealer or someone to do it for you. If all checks out and you are satisfied, but it and enjoy yourself!
  • Climb on top and cover every inch of it on your hands and knees looking for soft spots. Cracking or popping sounds indicate bad wood from water leaks. The number one issue with Rv's is water leaks. Look in every corner, cupboard etc for any indication of water. Look for repaired ceilings or touched up paint. Feel real close around the ac unit , vent, stacks and other areas on the roof that have had the membrane cut during installation. Crawl underneath and look for any impact damage or broken frame welds. Pay attention to soft spots in the floor. It looks nice and I dont think they are way off on the price but it is Craigslist so if it checks out offer them less.
  • Forest River makes an entry level product so the overall quality will be about average as TT's go. The very basic aluminum siding tells about the quality; minimal.
Ask to look at all maintenance/repair records.
Ask how old the tires are. If more then five years, they need to be replaced no matter how good they may appear. If the seller says they were replaced, ask to see the bill.
Tell the seller to turn on the ref. and hot water heater the day before you go to look. The ref. should be below 40* and the freezer close to 0*. Run the A/C and all other equipment when you're looking.
Especially, look closely at the ceiling for any signs of water stains.
Pressurize the water tank. If the pump runs when all faucets are closed, there is a leak.
    Others will have more ideas.
  • It looks clean and to be in good condition. The price seems high but condition is everything. Only an actual inspection will determine actual value but IMO it's not $8k. For the right price it would be a nice acquisition.
