Any trips this weekend?

I've got the flu. However, not missing this weekend.

We are heading east to Mitchell, Oregon. Going to the Lucky Strike mine to get some geodes. Then, off to the Painted Hills for some hiking, see the fossils and a stop at the inlaws in Prineville to do some horseback riding. I'll post pics after we are done.

Anyone else braving the holiday weekend?

Got my bags inflated, tires, truck all prepped to throw the TC on tomorrow and hit the road.

Also...boondocking for 4 days. This will be the battery test. I might be doing my solar setup if this sucks. lol

Frank if I another day I'd swing in to say hi, love the area your in and if your in the campground next to the river, stayed there before and it rocks.

Samo-samo.... Hate going out on the holidays... for the same above reasons.

Currently down in La Pine, OR and staying put..

They usually are for us too. We are hoping...the remote camping and off the path locations keep us from the masses. No dune trips for me on the hoilday weekends!

Nope I avoid holiday weekend travel like the plague. Too many stupid people on the roads and in the hills for my liking. Call me jaded from spending my career scraping those folks off the ashphalt or carrying them out of the hillsides on a stokes litter (me in the yellow helmet, news photo)
