Has anybody bought a new truck at dave smith in kellogg idaho either ram or gm?doesnt matter if one lives close by or cross country. Was wondering if their prices are really that low,or is there a "catch"?

They pick you up at the airport, take you to the dealership, take care of business and send you on your way with your new rig. I personally have never bought from them, but have many, many friends buy from them multiple times. When my father was still living he flew there many times and transported pickups for business acquaintances. Highly recommended.

As the worlds largest Ram dealership they can simply beat the competetion. Call or email them with your requirements. You will get a reply in a hurry. Fly into Spokane, they pick you up. Great chance to see some beautiful country on your drive home.

Be sure to check with Dennis Dillon too. I shopped multiple dealers including Dennis Dillon and Dave Smith, and Dave Smith wasn't even close on their best quote. Don't tell them you're cross shopping them against Dennis Dillon or they'll get snippy, at least if you get the same sales guy I was dealing with. The deal I got with Dennis Dillon was straight up. I'm in Idaho so I just drove there, but they'll also pick you up from the airport for free if you buy remote.

Dave Smith is one reason I am driving Ram instead of another Ford. The local Ram dealers did not want my business and were not versed in what they were selling. This happened when I bought my last truck 2005 and did not change in 2015 which is bad for potential Ram sales.As others have posted, I flew out to Spokane and was picked up by dealer van to the lot. My truck was ready and we just completed the necessary paperwork. They fed me lunch before sending me on my way home and I was back home that same evening for dinner.My last Ford and Ram purchase have been through fleet sales which is much more pleasant and efficient than the pressure of customer sales. I suggest whether purchase from afar or locally, that you deal with fleet sales.

The price they quoted me over the phone is the price I paid. We were able to complete the bulk of the paperwork over the phone too. I also was dealing with Dennis Dillon who quoted lower, but didn't follow up or respond in a timely manner. The Dave Smith dealership was pretty impressive and overwhelming to this backwater boy.

I tried to get a close price local, but he said that is way under what he would pay for it and to buy from them. Coming from Texas. I delt with Dennis Dillon before and they are straight shooters.

On my then new 2006 Dodge Cummins Megacab I saved at least $12k vs local dealers. Dave Smith prices over the phone are exactly what you pay. I did pay my local taxes going thru Dave Smith.

When we were looking I check with them, then got quotes from local dealers. Did the truck come from Dave smith? Yes, did I BUY the truck from Dave Smith?? NOPE! Local dealer gave me a quote on what I wanted was within $200 of Dave smith, saved me a trip to Idaho and when I picked up the truck, it was originally delivered to dave smith, and the dealer got it from Dave smith. It was the only truck in the NW with the option configuration and color I wanted.

In the end it was less expensive after figuring in travel and less time to buy locally. And I've driven the road from Idaho to portland WAY to may times to see it as a nice road trip.

Mine did have the 5th wheel wiring along with the winter cover (not avail on western oregon units).

May 2010 we were looking for a Ram 3500 4x4 SRW megacab found a few in northern CA. Dave Smith had 38 in stock. Sales called us back the next day and we told him the stock # and he quoted us a great price. We flew into Spokane 2 weeks later, the van picked us up, drove us there and 2 hours later we drove away in our new truck. As said before the price quoted was the price we paid. We would buy there again in a heartbeat.
