- Intimidation factor. I was going to buy one 10 years ago, but becoming a gear jammer..? No. Just climbing into one is scary enough. The instrument panel looks like a commercial jet. Lots to learn.
- Maintenance. Yes, oil changes are expensive, but one has to remember you can go 15 or 20k miles (or more) between.
- Cost. My used M2 was more than a new pickup.
- No one else does this. Yes, you are in a different world from your pickup buddies. At the campground, you won't likely be in any conversations about their trucks, but you will be in many about yours.
