Anyone changed their rear end for more towing capacity?

I am considering upgrading my RV to a TT that as a GVWR of 7500# which is about 500# above my TV rated capacity. I have a 3.08 rear end and from what I can gather, a similar truck as mine with the ...

My neighbors do, 5.3L, 6-spd, 3.42. Many people have towed with older 4-spds and 3.73-4.10 axle ratio trucks. I had a 2003 F-150 3.73. It towed fine, 3 usable towing gears and you probably have 4. So what? It comes down to driver comfort. You got what you got and IMHO, it is not worth $1000, even $2000 to change your gearing to 3.42. 4.10, maybe. 11% more wheel torque will not dramatically change the behavior of the truck. 30,50%? sure. You got what you got. Drive on.
