- rockhillmanorExplorer30 years and counting, standard mirrors. Little stick on fish eye on the passenger side for changing lanes. And that's because my truck is tall and little cars like to ride along side me below the mirror. :B
I'd have to see a link about standard mirrors being illegal because they don't extend past width of trailer......that's what the little button for the side mirrors is for, so you can move the mirrors out to the left on drivers side and to the right on passenger side. :W - dtzackusExplorerI always towed with standard mirrors with the CIPA clip ons, I opted to upgrade to extendable tow mirrors on the new TW and love them, it is nice to be able to see behind everything and even see the tires on occassion. My two cents for a cheap 200 bucks, you can get a pair of nice towing mirrors....
- Old-BiscuitExplorer IIII see it all the time
Usually right in front of me as they try to change lanes and can't see.
No problem for them either :S - rightyouarekenExplorerI use slip on mirrors, but I could probably get away with using my standard mirrors. I can see 95% the same stuff in my standard mirrors as the slip ons. Only thing I'd miss is being able to see the entire side of the trailer and what's behind me in my own lane. The slip ons let me see that which is nice.
- mguayExplorerI believe it is illegal in most states! Your mirrors must be wider than your trailer.
- Broken_OakExplorerWe also tow with the standard side mirrors. The wife has a little bit of problem with seeing around the TT but we still use the standard mirrors. I would of thought many towed with standard mirrors.
