I've never had it happen. The truck is designed to use the tow/haul and cruise control together. I didn;t use the tow haul much on my '11 but the times I was most likely to use it was going down steep grades with a trailer....My 2016 works best using cruise with the tow/haul and exhaust brake on steep downhill grades.
