Lithium-ion batteries provide more power per unit of weight but this power comes with a serious problem, their tendency to develop a runaway and overheat and burst into flames. It has happened with many a cell phone that was left on the dash to recharge in a car. It is one thing to have a tiny cell phone battery catch fire and something else entirely to have a Group 27 battery or multiple batteries catch fire.
Even sophisticated Tesla cars and the Boeing Dreamliner airplane has had this problem with the batteries. The FAA grounded the Boeing planes until this could be resolved but no federal agency is going to be looking at aftermarket batteries in RV's.
Flooded lead acid batteries work perfectly well in RV applications and if the battery needs to be on its side or in a non-vented compartment there are the more expensive AGM batteries which are still a better deal and much safer than the lithium-ion batteries.
I see no reason to put my life at risk and that of my wife to go with premium priced batteries that provide absolutely no advantages over my present batteries. My batteries last through the night 365 days of the year and work in super cold temperatures and when it is in the triple digits. They never have gotten below 78% DOD and they are back at 100% charge level in 4 hours or less even during the winter months with my solar panels.
When I see manufacturers hawking their products and providing "data" I think of the saying that there are lies, damn lies, and statistics.
