I think LiFePO4 is a little bit safer than the stuff used in cell phones and jet airplanes but it does come at a cost (the LiFePO4 stuff has only about half the energy density of laptop/cellphone/rc airplane lithium.
I do agree with Redsky that flooded or AGM makes more sense right now considering there are no major manufacturers of lithium batteries for RV THAT OFFER A WARRANTY. When we see Lifeline or Trojan 12V lithium batteries with a built in BMS and 2 year warranty, then it will be worth considering.
