Another way to stiffen your walls is to use rigid 1" or 2" polyiso foam sold at Home Depot in 4x8 sheets. It made a world of difference to our 1/16" aluminum skin, going from a hollow gong when hitting the side to a solid thunk. Doesn't add much weight to the trailer and doesn't cost much. It is rated R13 at 2"
