What you are seeing is common for the skin of these trailers, as you can see in my Pace Race Trailer pictured below. I see the same thing in my 2 axle motorcycle trailer's siding. If you are going to sleep in the trailer I would consider insulating it. Otherwise, why would it matter? For me, I never have done this to my trailer. I always recommend painting the inside, with a darker shade on the floor. As well as get one of those packets that has the abrasion sand in it and add it to the floor paint and have them mix/shake it at the paint store. It works great on a wooden trailer floor.
