Compared to years ago ALL the newer trucks are pretty darned reliable. I'm an old fart - been driving and working on vehicles since the late 50s and there is NO COMPARISON. I remember how much I had to work on all the vehicles I had from the 70s and early 80s. The new vehicles are MUCH more reliable.
My 2004 Dodge/Cummins dually - only repair in 17 years has been a water pump.
My 2007 Ford E350 4x4 conversion - only repair in 14 years was replacement of a brake switch that was giving me intermittent cruise control problems.
My 2016 F150 4x4 3.5 Ecoboost will be 5 years old/50,000 miles in a couple months. I've had to do absolutely NOTHING to this truck except change the oil and rotate the tires.
So I sure as heck can't complain about reliability!
