We have a Solaire 269BHDK that is 32 feet long and a 2010 F150 that has a 5.4L V8 engine and it tows great on ths straight aways and small hills. It gets a little tougher on steep grades where the truck can slow down to 35 to 40 miles per hour @2500- 3000 rpm.
Our Solaire weighs in at 7200lbs. gross and a tongue weight around 1000 lbs.

Pulled the same weight with a 2010 F150 5.4 3.73's. The sweet spot is 34-3500 rpms for climbing. You should be able to maintain 55-60mph up most grades running in 4th. Looks like you're a little light on the go pedal.
