I currently have a 2006 Duramax Crew and am thinking about trading up for a new Duramax. I really like my current truck, but I feel it might be time to move on. Has anyone traded up and regretted it...

The federal government imposes the Gas Guzzler Tax and Pickups, SUV's, and Minivans are except from it. If they were imposed on trucks, then most diesels would probably be exempt due to how the Gas Guzzler Tax is calculated which is different, and more lenient, than the EPA window sticker. Big HD gas engines on the other hand would more than likely be taxed pretty heavily if it were enacted on trucks.
