Anyone replace Formica counters with solid surface?

Like GrandpaKip posted, a cabinet shop that also installs countertops can handle the installation. Home Depot may restrict installation to a residence because of legal wrangles. I do not know their policies.

If you currently have HPL (High Pressure Laminate--Formica, generically), you could replace that with a different style, color, or pattern. This is often cheaper as some solid surface countertops will change the height of your countertop and that may lead to more work for plumbing or backsplashes.
