I'll definitely post results. From the homework I did on the drivetrain, it seems that one would have to add more power than the stock fuel system can provide before drivetrain failures would appear, and I'm not even pondering going that far. Really just wanting more low-end torque than anything.
Might even consider a custom tune that boosts power from idle to 3500RPM then falls in line with stock output to redline. It's about usable power, not peak upper end output. No one tows at peak HP RPM's. If they do, it's not for long.
Yeah, at least on RV.net I think you are in uncharted territory. There were so many posts on here when the Eco first came out predicting them blowing up left and right, so maybe that scared people off?
I'll be watching with interest if you do the mods, I expect to be moving to an Ecoboost sometime in the next two-three years, should be time to retire my ol TV by 2017.
