If you have 3.73 gears (max tow package has them), you can try setting cruise at the speed you want or even +1-2 then locking the transmission in 6th gear manual mode. You'll lose a few MPH climbing an overpass, and regain it immediately on the down slope. Downshifting to 4th or 5th usually seems to occur when you are a truck length from the top, and all it does is make a bunch of noise, drink up gas, then add engine drag as you go downhill. For 3.55 gears, 5th may get the same effect.
