Ordered SCT Livewire with 5 Star tunes, a set of .030 gapped SP-534 plugs, and an AFe cold air intake with dry(oil-less) conical filters and lid. The small chance that an oiled filter can foul a $400 MAF sensor was enough to make me pass on K&N for the first time in over a decade of trucks and cars. I'll be sure to report back on towing performance, but the next trip isn't for another 6 weeks.
Another bit on octane levels:
The ECU takes the collected data over 250-500 miles to adjust timing and fuel curves from 87 to 91 octane. The fill-up before a towing trip I usually run 89 or 91.
Headwind/crosswind can take as much as 1.5MPG off, and tailwind can add almost 1MPG. That's why the large ranges in what I quoted as MPG
